On March 21st, SOMARTA presented its 2013-14 Autumn/Winter collection. The designer was Tamae Hirokawa. The venue was the Frank Lloyd Wright-designed Jiyu Gakuen Myonichikan.
Two seasons ago, the brand proposed designs evoking crystalline caves, geological formations, flowers, and flames, all of which have become rounded over time. Last season, the collection focused on the theme of "BLOOM," featuring original illustrations and embroidery of spirits by KITAJIKO, and incorporating the mood of Art Nouveau and the Japonism that influenced it. This time, the brand expands on the designs of the previous two seasons by incorporating the mood of Art Deco, which emerged after Art Nouveau. The theme is "CRYSTALLOS BLOOM2."
The addition of fur, gold zippers, crystal-like tiger motifs, asymmetrical skirts, and draping adds a new dimension to the designs. Motifs reminiscent of flowers, crystals and other crystals are drawn with geometric lines, and the repeated patterns resemble a kaleidoscope.

The prints created in collaboration with KITAJIKO have also been transformed into necklaces and crystal-like designs using simple lines and repetition. Other accents include designs in which geometric patterns and origami images coexist, and a skin series with intricate patterns that resemble enlarged crystals.
