The project "Japanese Tableware and Palais Chocolat," which introduces 50 tableware and 50 Palais Chocolat, has finally been completed.

Jan 25, 2021
For a limited time, 50 varieties of "Palet Chocolat," the signature round chocolate bar from Japanese chocolate specialty store Bel Amer, will be available at the Valentine's Day event space. The project "Japanese Tableware and Palet Chocolat," which showcased 50 of these Palet Chocolat bars paired with 50 different tableware pieces from across Japan, concluded on January 19th. The official online shop will also be selling a "Palet Chocolat 50 Pieces" set containing all 50 varieties.

[Japanese Tableware and Palet Chocolat]
Since its founding in 2003, Bel Amer has continued to create chocolates that are "suited to Japan" as a Japanese chocolate specialty store. We will be offering a total of 50 varieties of our brand's signature round chocolate, "Palet Chocolat," for the Valentine's Day period in 2021.

Since December 1, 2020, we have been introducing 50 combinations of our Palet Chocolat with carefully crafted tableware from all over Japan, one per day, on our official Instagram (https://www.instagram.com/belamer_official/). The project, "Japanese Tableware and Palet Chocolat," finally came to a close with the final image posted on January 19, 2021. To commemorate the completion of the project, we released all 50 visuals on January 20, 2021.

Just as we put our heart into making our chocolates, there are vessels made with love all over Japan. This project started with the desire to "support Japan" and "redistribute the appeal of Japanese craftsmanship once again," and we were able to reach a successful finale thanks to the support of all the participating artists, everyone who commented on the combinations, and many others.

I would like to take this opportunity to express my gratitude, and hope that Japanese craftsmanship, which is currently in a difficult environment due to the state of emergency declaration, will blossom again and continue to develop.

The first piece starts with Kiyomizu ware from Kyoto, and ends with a chocolate dish made by a chocolatier

The memorable first post for "Japanese Tableware and Palet Chocolat" is a combination of "Kyoto ware/Kiyomizu ware" by Mori Shunzan of Shunzan Kiln and Palet Chocolat "Matcha Milk Azuki". The project began on December 1st, when the autumn leaves in Kyoto were coming to an end, with a post combining gorgeously painted autumn leaves with matcha, a taste of Kyoto.

On December 25, 2020, with a wish for Christmas, we introduced a combination of Miyajima Osuna-yaki (sand-ware) from Taigendo, Yamane, Hiroshima Prefecture, and Palet Chocolat Blue Earl Grey. The Blue Earl Grey appears like a blue moon on a plate with a fantastical maple leaf pattern, featuring a white and blue hue.

For the New Year of 2021, we are featuring Edo Kiriko, a traditional craft representative of Tokyo, where Bel Amer began, and the chocolate parfait "Cacao Noir." During the shoot, the lighting reflected off the delicate cuts, creating a sparkle. "Wishing you a wonderful, shining year"
2021 starts with a photo filled with such thoughts.

On January 19, 2021, the final piece was a chocolate plate made by Bel Amer's executive chef, Kazuyuki Kosugi, and featured the Palet Chocolat "Mandian Noir", which the restaurant has been making since its founding. This combination, which truly conveys the "deliciousness and joy of chocolate," adorns the final piece of the project.

We are also running an Instagram campaign in which people post their photos with the hashtag #MyTablewareandPaletChocolat

In conjunction with the "Japanese Tableware and Palet Chocolat" project, we are also running a photo campaign on Instagram. Post a photo of Palet Chocolat paired with your favorite tableware with the hashtag #MyTablewareandPaletChocolat. Entry by the end of February 2021 will be selected by our staff to win a Bel Amer gift item.
One grand prize winner will receive all 50 varieties of Palet Chocolat.
