SICF14, an art festival that transcends conventional ideas, will be held again this year at Spiral Hall in Aoyama during Golden Week

Mar 29, 2013

The art festival "SICF14 (Spiral Independent Creators Festival 14)" will be held at Spiral in Aoyama from May 3rd to 6th.
Fifty booths will line the venue, filled with a total of 100 creators over the two days, showcasing high-quality, unconventional works including paintings, photography, video, products, sculptures, installations, and other forms of expression that transcend these boundaries. Exhibitors will be present at each booth, allowing visitors to not only view the works but also receive direct explanations from the artists.
SICF is an open-entry art festival launched by Spiral with the aim of discovering and supporting leading creators of the future. Held annually during Golden Week, this year marks its 14th anniversary. Attending not only art fans but also gallerists, curators, and members of the press, SICF has also served as an opportunity for exhibitors to broaden the scope of their activities. The judges will decide the Grand Prix, Runner-up, and Judges' Awards, and the Audience Award will be decided by visitor vote.

The judges this time are Asai Takashi, president of Uplink, Goto Shigeo, editor Shimuta Nobuko, Sato Takahiko, press officer at Beams, and Okada Tsutomu, chief curator at Spiral.
