From April 11th to 16th, a two-person exhibition titled "Nenge" by plant artist Kawamoto Satoshi, president of GREEN FINGERS, will be held at Yakumo Saryo in Meguro, Tokyo, as part of the regularly scheduled salon exhibitions.
Yakumo Saryo is a Japanese restaurant where Ogata Shinichiro, president of SIMPLICITY, is responsible for all aspects of the restaurant, from food to space and tableware. This salon exhibition, "Nenge," will feature a number of works in which Kawamoto Satoshi has responded to Ogata Shinichiro's question of "how to arrange plants and flowers in the 'place' that is Yakumo Saryo," with his own unique aesthetic sensibility, without being bound by traditional formats.
The title of the exhibition, "Nenge," means to twist flowers, and "hana" refers to the general term for plants and flowers. : The name comes from the Zen phrase "Nenge" (a smiling face of flowers), which describes the wonder of mastering the teachings through telepathy, based on Ogata Shinichiro's desire to have people feel the connection between heart and heart through plants and flowers.
