To celebrate its 130th anniversary, Isetan Shinjuku collaborated with Samantha Thavasa. The store is currently running an "Isetan x Samantha Thavasa 'DREAM' - A Gift of Dreams from Samantha Thavasa" event, displaying various collaborative items on each floor until March 22nd.
On March 16th, the first day of the event, a fashion show showcasing Samantha Thavasa's new bag collection was held after the Isetan Shinjuku store closed. Miranda Kerr, who is currently visiting Japan, appeared as a special guest. She wowed the audience by walking around wearing a "Miranda Kerr for Samantha Thavasa" handbag and Boston bag.
The general producer of this project is Japanese creator Daichi Miura. A "dream"-themed space will be created from the store's first-floor show window to the sixth floor of the main building. On the first floor of the store, The Stage, you will find a collection of "DREAM" items created in collaboration with the brand's muse, Miranda Kerr, as well as notable designers, stylists, and talents active both in Japan and overseas. In addition to limited colors of the popular "Miranda Kerr for Samantha Thavasa" series and bags in collaboration with talent Anne Nakamura, who became the brand's muse this spring, collaboration items with EXILE's TAKAHIRO and DRESSCAMP designer Toshikazu Iwatani will also be released. Furthermore, during the event, the first 100 customers each day who spend over 32,400 yen (tax included) at The Stage on the first floor of the store will receive a free mini bag charm from the brand's popular "M Chouchou" series.
The store's second-floor East Park will be the first to sell TU L'EST, Samantha Thavasa's new apparel brand, which will be fully launched from the 2016 Autumn/Winter season, while West Park/The Stage on the sixth floor will introduce items from Samantha Thavasa's first kids' line, Dream Samantha Kids. Center Park/The Stage on the fifth floor will be selling "Dream Samantha Room," produced by stylist Michiko Yamawaki.
In addition, Cafe et Sucre/Ma Pâtisserie on the first basement floor will be selling special sweets in the shape of Samantha Thavasa's popular character, "I Me Bear," transformed into a three-dimensional chocolate by Patisserie Etienne.
