
To coincide with the opening of the Snoopy Museum, the official satellite of the Charles M. Schulz Museum in Roppongi, Tokyo, a Japanese translation of the art book "Only What's Necessary," commemorating the 65th anniversary of "Peanuts," will be released.
The Snoopy Museum is the world's first official satellite of the Charles M. Schulz Museum, opening in Roppongi on April 23rd. A special exhibition will feature original artwork, and the museum will feature monuments, fun gimmicks, and various events. There will also be a cafe serving a special menu inspired by "Peanuts."
This art book contains unpublished original artwork and rare, never-before-seen sketches from the Charles M. Schulz Museum's extensive archives. It includes a selection of works photographed by photographer Jeff Speer from the original artwork. Editing and design are handled by Chip Kidd, one of the world's most renowned book designers. It is a bilingual edition with over 170 comic stories written in both English and Japanese.
