Omotesando Hills, celebrating its 10th anniversary, is undergoing its largest-ever renovation, replacing approximately 40% of its stores. Plans call for the opening of 41 stores, including 33 new ones and 8 relocated or renovated ones. On March 18th, 23 of these stores opened, the largest number of such stores.

This renovation aims to evolve the Omotesando/Harajuku area into a unique fashion district, focusing on globally influential fashion brands. Targeting "people who enjoy fashion with free-spirited ideas and adhere to their own style," the fashion category includes global luxury brands and trending Japanese brands. More than half of the new stores are flagship stores, offering unique, one-of-a-kind shops that not only offer seasonal items but also sell limited-edition items and hold events.

The MM6 Maison Margiela flagship store opened on the first floor facing the Omotesando street. The white-toned space will showcase a full lineup of unique items characteristic of Margiela. Other brands opening on the same floor include BALMAIN, Giuseppe Zanotti Design, and Sergio Rossi. Balmain will be the first in Japan to offer a single in-store format for both men's and women's wear, while Giuseppe Zanotti Design will offer one of Japan's largest selections of luxury shoes, accessories, and leatherwear. On the basement floor, Maison MIHARA YASUHIRO and Y-3 will both open as flagship stores. Maison MIHARA YASUHIRO will offer a full lineup of men's and women's wear in a wood-toned interior, reflecting the meticulous attention to detail of designer Yasuhiro Mihara. The extensive selection of shoes also makes for a truly impressive store. This will be Y-3's largest store in Japan, and the cool, all-black space will feature a wide selection of unique apparel, accessories, and shoes. To celebrate the store's opening, the store will be selling limited-edition printed T-shirts (¥16,000). Novelties based on purchase amounts will also be available.

kolor BEACON and FACETASM, both opening on the second floor, are first-time stores. Kolor BEACON, with its impressive glass-enhanced interior, is the flagship store. It will carry the brand's full lineup and offer limited-edition items. FACETASM's first store in a commercial facility will offer a full lineup of men's and women's clothing in a comfortable, wood-toned space with natural light streaming in through glass windows.

Also not to be missed are the gallery and culture spots. The "Forest Library" is located on the third basement floor of the main building, where you can enjoy dining and reading. The cafe has the concept of "creating an opportunity to pick up a book and connecting people through books," and features both a library space and an eat-in space. You can eat while reading a book, and books are also available for free loan. The eat-in space offers coveted menu items that appear in various books, such as the castella cake that appears in the picture book "Gurigura." When you order a drink, you will receive a coaster with an impressive illustration and reviews of various books written on it. These coasters can also be purchased in-store (1 coaster for 100 yen, 6 coasters for 500 yen, 24 coasters for 2,000 yen).

The renovation will take place over the course of June, and the cafe and restaurant are scheduled to open from April onwards.
