Tetsuya Nagato's first solo exhibition in seven years will be held at Omotesando ROCKET, with limited edition T-shirts in collaboration with Undercover also on sale

Mar 29, 2016

Art director Tetsuya Nagato's first solo exhibition in seven years, "LAMINATION," will be held from April 15th to 27th at Gallery Rocket on the third floor of the Dojunkan building in Omotesando Hills. Nagato is an art director and artist whose work includes CD jacket design, music video direction, and advertising and documentary filmmaking. In 2003, he won the Digital Art Excellence Award at the 6th Japan Media Arts Festival, sponsored by the Agency for Cultural Affairs, and the Wonderwall Award at the 2003 Tokyo Wonderwall competition. In 2015, he presented "STILLSCAPE," a collaborative work with photographer Taro Mizutani, twice. This exhibition will feature new collage works, a core focus of Nagato's work. By repeatedly pasting, peeling, and pasting printed materials, the works express the "present seen from the future." To commemorate the exhibition, the venue will also be releasing a limited-edition collaboration T-shirt with UNDERCOVER.
