The installation exhibition "Yoshikazu Yamagata 'gege'" is being held from March 18th to 30th as part of the opening celebration for Gallery ROCKET's relocation.

The exhibition marks the opening of Gallery ROCKET, which relocated to the third floor of the Dojunkan building in Omotesando Hills on March 18th. Writtenafterwards and written by continue their 2016 Fall/Winter collection with an installation themed around "yokai."

The exhibition features a skeleton made from sand from the sand dunes of Yamagata's hometown of Tottori, decorated with fresh vegetables and fruits to represent "life" and "death." Pieces from the collection, just released on the 16th, are also on display and available for people to touch.

To commemorate ROCKET's 20th anniversary, a collaborative T-shirt by Yoshikazu Yamagata, designer of both brands, and music producer Hiroshi Fujiwara is also on sale. Two types are available: "town" (10,000 yen), which is based on the Omotesando streetscape, and "trees" (5 colors available, 10,000 yen each), which is based on the tree-lined streets. Also, sand brooches (small: 3,200 yen, medium: 3,500 yen, large: 3,800 yen) from Littenby's latest collection are on sale in limited quantities.
