The COVID-19 pandemic has caused stress, and there is scientific evidence that plants and greenery can help reduce stress, lift mood, and improve cognitive ability.
I thought about how I could use the power of plants and greenery to bring closer to a society where people and greenery coexist, and created this work with the hope of communicating this through my work, which is based on the theme of bonsai, a part of Japanese culture, and fashion. Born February 10, 2000. Originally from Fukuoka Prefecture. Her special skill is rhythmic gymnastics. She entered the entertainment industry after becoming a finalist in the "Amuse Audition 2014." She primarily works as a model, appearing in magazines such as "25ans," "SPUR," and "MAQUIA." She is also currently appearing in a TV commercial for "Mukogawa Women's University."
■Bonsai: Kunio Kobayashi
A graduate of the Horticulture Department at Tokyo Metropolitan Agricultural High School. While studying to take over the family horticultural business, he had a shocking encounter with the Japanese white pine "Oku no Kyomatsu," which won the Prime Minister's Award at the 7th Japan Bonsai Sakufu Exhibition. This led to him beginning his career as a bonsai artist in 1976.
Starting with the Prime Minister's Award at the Japan Bonsai Sakufu Exhibition in 1989, he has since won the Prime Minister's Award at the Japan Bonsai Sakufu Exhibition four times and the Satsuki Exhibition Grand Prize six times. To promote bonsai, he has visited 30 countries overseas more than 100 times, giving lectures, and has accepted over 100 apprentices both in Japan and overseas.
His major works include "The Art of Bonsai (Heaven)," "The Art of Bonsai (Earth)," "BONSAI," and "Teaching Bonsai from the Beginning." He received the Commissioner for Cultural Affairs' Award in 2020.
