Gucci unveiled its Fall/Winter 2013-14 men's collection at Milan Fashion Week. The collection began with a fresh interpretation of traditional British fabrics. Creative Director Frida Giannini described the collection as depicting "a romantic modern gentleman who effortlessly blends formal and informal fashion." The emphasis was on relaxed silhouettes. Duke jackets were worn as cardigans, and mohair sweaters and knit polo shirts were paired instead of shirts. Even suits made from formal British fabrics maintained relaxed lines. Attention was paid to hidden details, such as removable blanket linings and silk and flannel linings with pockets. Furthermore, hand-crafted tapestry embroidery on mohair knitwear and signature details on Chinese-inspired prints tightened the silhouettes and created a refined impression.

In addition to the base black and gray, the color palette also incorporates eye-catching vibrant blue, winter white, mustard yellow, crimson, and parsley green, giving the entire collection a warm feel.

The evening wear tuxedos use fabrics that have not been used for daywear before. The combination of formal items with new colors and fabrics, such as evening shirts paired with bow ties, creates a sophisticated and refined impression at the same time.
