Kate Moss's favorite Minnetonka opens new store for the first time in a year

Feb 20, 2013

New Minnetonka shops will open at Shinjuku Lumine Est and Lumine Ikebukuro on February 22nd. This marks the first new store opening in a year since the Tokyu Plaza Omotesando Harajuku store in Harajuku, Tokyo. To celebrate the opening, the brand will offer a purple version of its classic Kilty Suede Moccasin, available exclusively at the Lumine Est and Lumine Ikebukuro stores. The upper is made of soft suede, the insole is cushioned, and the sole is made of rubber for a sporty look. Minnetonka is a shoe brand founded in Minnesota, USA in 1946. Their signature moccasins, crafted from suede and deerskin, feature fringe and beading, a design nod to their roots as moccasins, a general term for Native American footwear. Beloved by celebrities like Kate Moss and Nicole Richie, the brand has gained worldwide popularity.
