[2013-14 Fall/Winter Collection] On the first day of Paris Fashion Week, Anthony Vaccarello, a favorite of Charlotte Gainsbourg and Jennifer Lopez

Feb 27, 2013

On February 26th, the first day of Paris Fashion Week, Anthony Vaccarello presented his Fall/Winter 2013-14 collection. The color palette was exclusively black and white. Starting with the military-inspired Melton coat in the first look, the collection continued with tailored styles characterized by straight silhouettes and oversized shoulders and necklines. Square silver metal embellishments and slim pants further enhanced the masculine impression. Meanwhile, the skirts, with their ultra-mini length and tight silhouette, created a sexy mood. The dresses featured in the second half of the collection also featured asymmetrical, body-conscious designs, with skin peeking through the metal parts, reminiscent of Paco Rabanne's dresses, emphasizing feminine sexuality. Vaccarello won the Grand Prize at the 2006 Hyères International Fashion Festival. He gained experience at Fendi, led by Karl Lagerfeld, before launching his own brand. He is attracting attention as a new generation designer in Paris, and his designs have been worn in public by Charlotte Gainsbourg and Jennifer Lopez.
