Gucci's 2013-14 Autumn/Winter collection was unveiled at Milan Fashion Week. Creative director Frida Giannini envisioned a cool, sexy femme fatale with a precarious femininity. She drew inspiration from the fetishistic work of British pop artist Allen Jones. The color palette included wine purple, rust, moss green, and a blackish cerulean blue. Luxurious, lustrous materials were used, including leather, python, pony skin, astrakhan, and silk. Houndstooth, glen plaid, and jacquard fabrics featuring Chinese-style fern leaves were woven with gold thread for a metallic sheen. Jackets and coats featured structured silhouettes with curved shoulders. Oversized coats were worn with the collars turned up for a masculine look. A ladylike set of a cinched-waist jacket and high-waisted pencil skirt was paired with a high-necked leather top for a hard-edged look. Accessories included leather gloves, fishnet stockings and high-heeled boots, all items symbolizing fetishism.

The dresses were body-conscious in design, with wide open necklines and lace and leather accents on the chest, emphasizing feminine sexuality. The satin dress was cut bias to create a flowing line, while the evening dress was made of net and lavishly embroidered with sequins, studs and feathers.
