[2013-14 Fall/Winter Collection] A.P.C. and Vanessa Siward present Parisian basics

Feb 28, 2013

On February 27th, during Paris Fashion Week, A.P.C. presented its Fall/Winter 2013-14 collection. The venue was the newly renovated headquarters.

The theme was "An American in Paris," and the collection showcased outfits for three different occasions throughout the day. The collection mixed its main line with its third season of collaboration with Vanessa Seward.

Daytime pieces included navy and gray short coats, rabbit fur coats, knitwear, and simple mini dresses. For the evening, navy and feminine print dresses were offered.

The evening wear had a more mature feel. Vanessa's one-shoulder dresses and tops were sourced from a long-established French fabric mill. They added a sexy and feminine touch not found in the main line, and even pantsuits were elegantly finished. Also appearing are stiletto heels, a rare find for A.P.C. The collection is a collaboration with Argentine tango shoe manufacturer Tango Leike, and combines stylish design with exceptional comfort. Designer Jean Touitou, who founded the brand in 1987, described the new collection as "a design that values the 'neatness' that is uniquely French. A basic design that allows women to be feminine."
