Nine Inch Nails returns. First announcements for this year's Fuji Rock Festival include Bjork, The XX, Troy More, CJ Ramone, DJ Shadow, and more.

The first lineup of artists for FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL '13, to be held at Naeba Ski Resort on July 26th, 27th, and 28th, has been announced. The two headliners are Nine Inch Nails and Björk.

Since their hiatus in 2009, Trent Tresnor, who won an Oscar for producing the soundtrack for the film "The Social Network" and has been active in the new unit How To Destroy Angels, has revived Nine Inch Nails. This will be their first appearance at Fuji Rock. This will also be Björk's first appearance since 2003. Also performing in Japan will be THE XX, whose second album "Coexist," released last year, has been well-received; CJ Ramone, the second bassist for The Ramones; MAYA JANE COLES, a new generation female house DJ who is also popular in the fashion scene; TORO Y MOI, who led the chillwave scene; DJ SHADOW; FLYING LOTUS, who is a descendant of Coltrane in the electronic music scene; Julio Bashmore from Bristol; Porter Robinson, who is already being called a genius DJ at 19 years old; FEED ME; MODESELEKTOR, who opened for Radiohead when they visited Japan in 2008; and rockabilly hardcore punk band ROCKET FROM THE CRYPT. Other participating artists announced this time include: BASSEKOU KOUYATE & NGONI BA / COHEED AND CAMBRIA / DAUGHTER / DEATH GRIPS / FOALS / FUN. / THE HOT 8 BRASS BAND / HURTS / JACK BEATS (DJ SET) / KILLSWITCH ENGAGE / KYTE / OF MONSTERS AND MEN / ROCKET FROM THE CRYPT / TAME IMPALA /TOM ODELL / YO LA TENGO
