Since its founding, Audio-Technica has placed importance on how analog stimulates human sensibilities. Starting March 6, 2025, Audio-Technica will launch "analog ~ naturally," a program that creates a new analog music experience. The product was also exhibited for the first time at Milan Design Week, held in Milan, Italy from April 7th to 13th, 2025, with the exhibition concept of "repeat the unrepeatable," using analog audio equipment to express "a one-off experience within reproducibility."
The second new product in the program, "Hotaru," is a turntable that embodies the new possibilities of analog that Audio-Technica pursues, and its unique feature is that it allows you to enjoy music as interior decor. We pursued a unique design with the aim of fusing music and interior decor.

At the same time, we employed a unique solution to address external vibrations, a long-standing issue with turntables. To enable the cartridge stylus to more accurately read the delicate grooves on a record, which are thinner than a hair, we attempted to maximize the cartridge's playback capabilities by suspending the turntable. The levitation effect created by the magnetic repulsion of powerful magnets not only creates a striking design impact, as if the turntable is floating in mid-air, but also improves record playback performance by isolating vibrations.

Hotaru also features a lighting system that blends the sound read from the record with light. Lights from a palette of 20 colors react and harmonize with the music playing from the selected record. Enjoy three lighting modes during playback: Basic mode, which provides continuous light; Gradient mode, which provides a smooth transition between lights; and Link mode, which captures sound waves as light. The fusion of music and light allows for a new, never-before-seen analog music experience, immersing you in the music both visually and aurally.

In addition to its turntable functionality, the All-In-One Turntable also has speaker functionality, and by devising an internal structure that maximizes the speaker size within the housing, it delivers powerful sound that is unimaginable given the size of the unit, with brilliant and vibrant mid- and high-range sounds and clear, deep bass reproduction.
Pre-orders for "Hotaru" are being accepted on a special website, with the product scheduled for release in autumn 2025.
