Fancy, a social commerce service founded in the United States in 2012, will launch its service in Japan this spring. The representative of the Japanese subsidiary is Kosaku Yada, a former professional basketball player.
The site features items carefully selected by curators, which are available for purchase. It offers a wide range of products, from fashion to furniture. Investors at the time of its founding included PPR owner François-Henri Pinault, Twitter founder Jack Dorsey, and American Express. Fancy's loyal customers include Lady Gaga, Alicia Keys, Justin Bieber, Bill Gates, and Mark Zuckerberg.
Following collaborations with Ashton Kutcher and P!NK in 2012, a collaboration box set with Verbal will be released in Japan this month.
