Event Date:2020.12.28-2021.01.26
Dec 9, 2020
The IDEE Gallery, located adjacent to IDEE TOKYO, will be hosting the exhibition "Monochrome - Black and White Ceramics" from December 28, 2020 to January 26, 2021.

This exhibition features approximately 150 black and white ceramics from various countries, including Japan, China, Korea, India, and Africa. The pieces were created in different periods and shapes, from the Joseon Dynasty, Silla, Ming, Kofun period, Old Imari, and even the present day, resulting in a truly diverse range of variations, even within the same color palette. Black and white are special colors that can be expressed in a variety of ways depending on the material, texture, light and shadow, time, and space. Please take your time to enjoy the richness that lies within the achromatic nature of these pieces.
