On June 18th, Ermanno Scervino unveiled its first seasonless capsule collection at Forte Belvedere in Florence. The large-scale presentation attracted a diverse cast of guests, including hip-hop MC and music producer Kanye West and Boy George. Kanye's lavish wedding to Kim Kardashian took place at the same fortress in May, and Scervino also designed his wedding dress, which drew much attention. The men's capsule collection is divided into four themes, featuring military and street fashion-inspired pieces. Twenty looks, including hoodies, T-shirts, pea coats, and tailored suits, were presented in a gradation of white to ivory and off-white, featuring silver leather appliqués and details aimed at jet-setters. The women's collection, based on Alta Moda (couture) techniques and brimming with the house's artisanal know-how, were presented in a mirrored room, creating a gleaming, dazzling world. The presentation took place as part of Pitti Immagine Uomo's special program "Born in Florence," which opened on the 17th. Florentine brands such as Salvatore Ferragamo, Gucci, and Emilio Pucci each planned special events dedicated to Florence. For this occasion, designer Ermanno Scervino used the image of "dream" to realistically recreate a tableau vivant (living painting) against the backdrop of Florence's cityscape and a panoramic view of the Belvedere Fortress. He paid homage to the Sala Bianca of the Pitti Palace and Marquis Giovani Battista Giorgini, a pioneer of Made in Italy fashion.
