London-based shoe brand Nicholas Kirkwood has unveiled its Spring/Summer 2015 collection. This season, the brand is inspired by Japanese poster art from the late 1960s and early 1970s, particularly the psychedelic worlds depicted by Tadanori Yokoo, and layers of laser-cut leather create a mysterious world. The laser-cut leather creates designs resembling family crests, creating a vivid contrast between strong colors like black and orange. Espadrilles and sandals feature patterns that blend Japanese and psychedelic elements. Bows are also a key motif, with shoes featuring metal bows on the back of wedge heels and fluorescent patent leather sandals adorned with bows.
