"Pretty Green" will release a collaboration item with photographer Mick Rock on December 6th.
The new item is an original T-shirt featuring David Bowie, whom Mick Rock has followed for many years. It will be offered in a limited edition set with a special cloth bag and pin badge.
The "Heroes" version features David from the cover photo of the album "Pinups," taken in August 1973. The alto saxophone he is holding is an iconic image of David, as it was the first instrument his mother bought him at age 13. Meanwhile, the Japan-exclusive "Low" version features a photo of him wearing a costume designed by Kansai Yamamoto. The Japanese inscription on the costume spells out "David Bowie."
The "Spiders from Mars" version features a photo of David from the final tour for the album "Ziggy Stardust." In the photo, which Mick has edited to a sepia tint, David looks as if he is about to burst into song. Five different versions will be available: "Diamond Dogs," which contains a scene from David's first US tour, and "Hunky Dory," which uses a photo from the final live performance of the US tour in December 1972. The price is 15,000 yen. Available at the Aoyama main store, Sapporo, Osaka, and Nagoya Parco stores, as well as online. To commemorate the release, Pretty Green's Aoyama main store will also be selling a limited edition of 50 photo books (3,500 yen) autographed by Mick Rock.
