Mar 4, 2017

"Next Crafts Generation - Kanto Eleven Project," an exhibition connecting crafts to the next generation, will be held at "Kotomonomichi at TOKYO," an exhibition by Saint Produce Design, from March 9th to 21st.

The exhibition brings together artisans from 11 prefectures who aim to create the next generation of craftsmanship by looking back at the current state of craftsmanship rooted in their respective regions. The exhibition will focus on each production area, artisans, and the products created there, and will also hold workshops where visitors can experience artisan techniques.

On March 11th, there will be four sessions of "Making Tsumami Zaiku Cherry Blossoms" (participation fee: 2,000 yen), where participants will create cherry blossoms using the tsumami zaiku technique, at 11:30, 13:30, 15:00, and 16:30, with a capacity of five people per session. On March 18th, there will be two sessions of "Making Tin Small Plates" (participation fee: 4,800 yen), where participants can experience making small plates of about 10cm each, at 13:00 and 16:00, with a capacity of four people per session.
