Spanish luxury porcelain brand Lladró will begin selling a piece created in collaboration with designer Yasumichi Morita in July. An event commemorating the release of the piece, "Life is Flower," was held on June 13th, and Lladró President Lisa Lladró also visited Japan. "When Senor Morita visited our company last July with his wife, Mao Daichi, I never dreamed that such a wonderful piece would be created," said Lisa Lladró, praising the piece. "Using the porcelain techniques and wisdom that Lladró has cultivated over many years, I have used skulls and flowers to express the 'breath of life.' As the title suggests, it expresses my hope for a happy future filled with hope," Morita said. Lladró artisans handcrafted each petal, creating a work of countless flowers. Limited to 100 pieces worldwide, the piece is priced at 720,000 yen (including a base). The collection will be available for pre-sale from July 2nd at Isetan Shinjuku, where Morita designed the remodeled women's clothing floor, and will be available for general sale from the 9th at Lladró boutiques, Lladró shops, the Lladró online shop, and other retailers that stock Lladró.
