"GLAMOROUS PHILOSOPHY NO.1," a collection of 81 works by interior designer Yasumichi Morita, was published by Parco Publishing on the 8th. The 224-page, full-color collection features works from the Kobe bar "COOL," his first project as a designer at age 18, to the redevelopment of the Isetan Shinjuku department store, which opened in March of this year, the renovation of the National Diet Central Cafeteria, the W Hotel in Hong Kong, restaurants such as MEGU in New York, Joël Robuchon in Tokyo, and TSE YANG in Qatar, a Kyoto tea house, and Morita's own home, as well as properties not open to the public and pop-up discotheques that no longer exist. As Morita himself states, "This collection is a mini-Morita," the book is filled with his philosophy and message on design.
