"RYKIEL FOREVER," a capsule collection dedicated to Sonia Rykiel founder Madame Rykiel, will be released worldwide on March 15th. In Japan, it will be available exclusively at the ESTNATION Roppongi Hills store until March 31st. The collection, created by Artistic Director Julie de Libran and based on carefully selected pieces from the Sonia Rykiel archives, is themed around "multipurpose." Centered around knitwear and stripes, which are characteristic of the house, the lineup of 13 pieces includes a new "twin set"—a cape attached to a sleeveless sweater; a multi-sleeve cardigan with an integrated scarf; a demi-pull that can be worn as a scarf or cape; and a slim-fitting "poor boy" sweater with the heel of a knitted sock repurposed as an elbow. The collection is produced by Miles, a knitwear factory based in Venice, Italy, and all buttons used on the items are engraved with photographs of Madame Rykiel carefully selected by Julie de Libran from the Miles archives.
