Lucien Pellat-Finet Archive Exhibition to be Held at Isetan Shinjuku, Latest Collaboration with Looney Tunes

Event Date:2020.11.11-11.17
Nov 11, 2020

A pop-up exhibiting the precious archives of Parisian Lucien Pellat-Finet, known as the "King of Cashmere," will be held from November 11th to 17th at the Center Stage on the 3rd floor of the Main Building of Isetan Shinjuku.

Since the brand's launch in 1994, its iconic and witty motifs have attracted the attention of celebrities in New York and Hollywood, and Lucien Pellat-Finet's pop coloring and hand-intarsia techniques have quickly made him the pinnacle of cashmere knitwear. Items that reveal the origins of today's luxury street style will be exhibited in a museum format, and legendary items from private collections will also be on display.

This pop-up, specializing in cashmere knitwear, was created by Andy, who was a close friend of Pellat-Finet. This is a rare opportunity to see Lucien Pellat-Finet's visionary collection, which was one of the first to incorporate pop culture and street art motifs, such as Andy Warhol, Jean-Michel Basquiat, and American comic book characters, into Scottish cashmere crew neck sweaters.

The pop-up will also feature the latest collaboration with Warner Bros.' popular animation series, Looney Tunes, featuring Bugs Bunny, Road Runner, and Tweety, which celebrated their 80th anniversary in 2020.

In addition, pre-orders are being accepted for the new skull-motif "Dog Knit," a wool cashmere knit for beloved dogs that was featured in a previous collection.
