Executive Committee Chairman Fumio Minamishino commented, "In preparation for the 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games, we want to create opportunities to promote culture to the world and attract people from around the world. Roppongi Art Night is a one-night-only art event that has been held since 2009 with the aim of proposing a new lifestyle of enjoying art in everyday life and creating a pioneering model for urban development in Tokyo. A diverse range of works, including contemporary art, design, music, video, and performance, are scattered throughout the city. Attendance has been increasing year by year.
