Figo has acquired exclusive import and sales rights in Japan for the Italian accessory brand Pierre-Louis Mascia. Wholesale sales will begin in Japan starting with the Fall/Winter 2014 collection. The brand launched in 2007, focusing on printed scarves by Pierre Louis Mascia, a French illustrator and art director who has worked on art direction for renowned fashion houses, department stores, and fashion magazines around the world. Founded in Como, Italy in 1933, the brand is distributed primarily at high-end select shops in France and Italy through a partnership with Achille Pinto, a company specializing in silk scarves that combine traditional Italian techniques with modern laser printing technology. Figo aims to develop this scarf-focused brand as a new business, following the company's existing brands: Felisi, which sells Italian bags and leather goods; Aspesi, which sells apparel; and Arero Design, which sells eyewear.
