INI, a company specializing in Made-in-Japan product planning, has successfully developed "MAX MATERIA," a blend of Mitsubishi Rayon Textile's triacetate fiber "Soalon" and rayon.
Soalon is a cellulosic fiber made from natural pulp exclusively by Mitsubishi Rayon. Characterized by its soft texture and glossy surface, it is often used in high-end women's clothing, including by European luxury brands, but its use as a towel material is extremely rare.
The newly developed Soalon blend towel is composed of 29% triacetate, 43% rayon, 23% cotton, and 5% polyester. It is extremely soft and comfortable against the skin, and compared to 100% cotton towels, it not only has a unique, elegant texture and gloss, but also has excellent absorbency and retains its soft texture and gloss even after washing. It is manufactured in Senshu, Osaka, a renowned towel-producing region. Sales channels are expected to be department stores and select shops, and the company also plans to launch its own online shopping site next year.
This towel is the first of its new products, and the company plans to continue to actively develop composite material towels, with Soalon as the main material.
