French jeweler FRED's limited-time event, "FRED, Lights and Colors of the French Riviera," kicked off on November 27th at The Stage on the first floor of the Isetan Shinjuku Main Building and runs until December 3rd. The event will showcase a new ring from the brand's "Pain de Sucre" collection, featuring colored stones. The ring features a choice of nine colored stones, including cream pink rose quartz, blue-gray chalcedony, purple amethyst, and lapis lazuli. Luxury necklaces, earrings, and bracelets will also be available. Two types feature diamonds adorned with blue and pink colored stones. Three pendants (each priced at ¥199,500) are also available as special items for the event: pink gold, diamonds, and amethyst; yellow gold, diamonds, and citrine; and white gold, diamonds, and chalcedony. Fred's "Pain de Sucre" was launched in 2011 to commemorate the brand's 75th anniversary. By applying a special technique called "cabochon cut" to the plump shape, it has become popular as it expresses the natural brilliance and volume of the colored stones.
