Jazzin'park, a production duo that handles everything from songwriting, composing, and arranging to vocals, production, and DJing, has released their first original song in about two years, "On and On," in 111 countries worldwide via iTunes and various streaming sites. "On and On" is sung entirely in English and expresses a strong desire to persevere, strive for excellence, and forge ahead on the path you believe in, despite the uncertainty, anxiety, difficulties, and confusion that beset us in our daily lives. The track skillfully blends a gradually building emotional story with the uplifting energy of EDM. The music video, released ahead of the release, also shares the concept of "on and on" (keep moving forward), and was produced by Takayuki Nagai, the video director behind ANA's "Travel Discount" and the presentation film for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games. Using analog stop motion, the artist distorts the scenery and time, expressing a surreal world that seems to connect with the lyrics.
Jazzin'park is a duo consisting of Akira Kurihara and Shingo Kubota, formed in 2006. They have worked on numerous songs for artists such as Kis-My-Ft2, Momoiro Clover, Kou Shibasaki, and Naoto Inti-Raymi, and in 2013, the cumulative sales of CDs featuring songs they contributed to exceeded one million copies. They ranked first in single sales for the first half of 2013, beating out Yasutaka Nakata.
