Beautiful People will release a navy reversible coat exclusively at their directly managed stores starting November 12th. The reversible coat is a classic Beautiful People coat made with "reversible stitching." In addition to the original greige and mustard colors, navy is now available as a limited edition. "Reversible stitching" does not mean that the coat can be worn on both sides; rather, it refers to an advanced sewing technique that only skilled craftsmen can master, with over 70% of the process being done by hand. By wrapping the seam allowances, the coat can be made with a single outer layer, eliminating the need for lining and resulting in a lightweight finish that can be worn like a blanket or stole. The material is made from Super 100's wool, which is comparable in fiber fineness to cashmere, and is double-woven. Both sides are then beaver-brushed to create a smooth, lustrous, and soft texture.
The new items being introduced this time are a duffle style and a blanket style, both priced at 110,000 yen. The duffle style is characterized by an oversized feel, like wearing a men's size, and features a new silhouette with three-dimensional sleeves that add volume to the back. The gown style is a single piece of fabric that has been worn with armholes opened and then reconstructed into a coat.
The items will be available from the 12th at the Aoyama store, Isetan Shinjuku store, and online shop, and from the 16th at the Hankyu Umeda store and Lucua store.
