To celebrate the launch of its high jewelry collection, "Masterpiece Collection 2016," Tiffany & Co. will be holding a special exhibition of its archive collection of precious diamonds, including the legendary "Tiffany Diamond," at its Ginza flagship store from November 5th to November 27th.

The "Tiffany Diamond" is one of the world's largest fancy yellow diamonds owned by Tiffany, weighing 128.54 carats. Its permanent display at the Tiffany flagship store on Fifth Avenue in New York is always crowded with visitors eager to catch a glimpse of the diamond. This will be the first time the diamond has come to Japan in four years, since 2012.

The yellow diamond, cut to maximize its beautiful yellow brilliance, is set in a modern, flowing necklace alongside more than 120 carats of other diamonds, each carefully hand-cut by skilled artisans. The diamond, which symbolizes Tiffany's reputation as a top jeweler, has undergone four redesigns, including the ribbon rosette necklace worn by Audrey Hepburn while promoting the film "Breakfast at Tiffany's."

In addition, a special exhibition of beautifully cut diamond jewelry from Tiffany's' extensive archive collection will be held. This exhibition focuses on the diamond cutting that creates these beautiful pieces, and will feature approximately 20 precious archive pieces from Tiffany's dating from the 1870s to the 1960s.

In addition, a gala party worthy of the unveiling of this pinnacle jewelry collection was held at the Palace Hotel in Tokyo. The party was specially produced for Tiffany by internationally acclaimed stage director Amon Miyamoto, featuring performances ranging from classical to contemporary. It was a spectacular, one-night-only show with a Japanese theme.
