Osawa Shokai Co., Ltd. will release three limited edition "Lambda Glashütte 175 Years of the Glashütte Watch Industry" models from NOMOS Glashütte. The watch industry was established in Glashütte, located in the mountains of Saxony, Germany, in 1845, and over the past 175 years, the city's watchmaking techniques have earned a high reputation. While incorporating the traditional techniques of Glashütte, this model features a meticulous design and a stainless steel case, making it ideal for everyday use.

New stainless steel cases, new sizes, White enamel, Black enamel, Blue enamel dials, and movements adjusted to chronometer standards. These are three new timepieces celebrating 175 years of Glashütte's watchmaking industry. Each color is limited to 175 pieces, and these are exceptional models crafted using traditional techniques in this historic town.

The dial's enamel-like luster lends it a special depth, an effect further enhanced by the curved dial and sapphire crystal glass. The meticulously polished steel case makes this a precision luxury watch suitable for everyday use. The name "Lambda" comes from the mathematical term "intrinsic value," signifying unchanging value.

Lambda features a power reserve indicator. It traces an arc on the dial, displaying 84 hours, or 3.5 days, of remaining power reserve. Four slender hands add elegance to the watch, evoking the feeling of a kinetic object.
The polished case encloses the dial within a slender bezel. The case curves from the sides to the back in a tapered fashion. The lugs are also curved in the same way.

The movement is also special. Lambda is equipped with the caliber DUW1001, the first caliber to bear the DUW (Deutsche Uhrenwerke) name.
This large yet slender, twin-barrel caliber is ensured by 29 rubies, six of which are set in screw-set chatons that are hand-polished in accordance with traditional Glashütte techniques. The edges of all components are also hand-polished, and each steel part is individually mirror-polished.

The meticulously polished three-quarter plate immediately catches the eye. It's found only in NOMOS watches and has been a traditional Glashütte craft since the introduction of Lambda. Meanwhile, the screw balance and swan-neck regulator have their roots in history. The spring for the swan-neck regulator is set on top of the balance cock. It's engraved with the words "From Glashütte with Love" in German, hand-engraved by a veteran watchmaker. It's part of the city's rich heritage.

NOMOS Glashütte maintains tradition while also creating modern watches. Along with the iconic German watch Tangente, NOMOS Glashütte also produces luxury models like the Lambda.
