Korean artist Dylan Ryu's exhibition "Collect, Collage, Create!" will be held at PASS THE BATON KYOTO GION from November 18th to December 11th.
Dylan Ryu is a Korean artist who has been creating his "History by Dylan" series since 2005, collaging vintage bags with vintage parts and other materials. This exhibition, his fourth in Japan, will feature works in which he collages vintage metal parts, crocodile leather, paper, and other materials onto Hermès advertisements from the 1920s and 1930s. A variety of vintage bags, mainly from Hermès, will also be on sale, featuring metal parts from the 1980s, tape from the 1950s and 1980s, and emblems from the 1950s.
In addition, Dylan Liu himself will be visiting Japan from 3:00 to 6:00 pm on November 19th to demonstrate his artwork. Purchasers will also be able to have their items specially customized by Dylan Liu.
