Mihara Yasuhiro's SOSU has opened Ones by Sosu, a complex shop combining a cafe, flower shop, and rental space, in Jingumae, Tokyo (1F, G Building, 3-30-12 Jingumae, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo).
The shop's name, "Ones" (plural "one"), represents the unique and individual elements that share a single space, creating a completely new place. The shop is comprised of three elements: a cafe, a flower shop, and a pop-up space.
The cafe is produced by Mayumi Yamada, owner of the organic cafe Tien Tien in Aso, Kumamoto. Based on the concept of "eating is living," the menu offers carefully crafted dishes that allow you to fully enjoy the flavor of the ingredients themselves, such as special plates decorated with seasonal vegetables. A selection of drinks is also offered, including select wines from Fujimaru and coffees by Hiroshi Sawada, former producer of Streamer Coffee, to accompany the food. A variety of tableware selected from Japan and overseas decorates the dining table.
At the entrance to the shop, there is Atelier Cabane, a flower shop from Nakameguro, which is filled with the owner Yuki Takahashi's desire to "convey the charm of plants and the beauty of natural materials within the broader framework of plants." In addition to dried flower bouquets and wreaths, the shop also sells seasonal cut flowers and mini plants.
The pop-up space hosts a variety of events, including solo exhibitions, exhibitions, limited-edition shops, and film previews, allowing you to enjoy a wide range of activities, from young artists to the latest culture. In addition, the main space and close-up space are available for rental, and can be used for a variety of purposes, displays, and other situations.
