
Tokyo Midtown in Roppongi, Tokyo, is hosting the summer event "MIDTOWN LOVES SUMMER 2017" from July 14 to August 31. The event, themed "Enjoying the coolness of a Japanese summer with all five senses," offers a taste of summer in urban style. The "Summer Light Garden," featuring "Hikari Fireworks" and "Hikari Seiryu" (Light Streams), will be held on the grass plaza. The first half (July 14 to August 6) will feature a program featuring Japan's three major fireworks festivals, while the second half (August 7 to 31) will feature a program by the Japanese team that won the 2014 international competition. Also available for four days only, from August 10 to 13 (7:30 PM to 8:00 PM), is a special program celebrating Tokyo Midtown's 10th anniversary, featuring a competition of approximately 300 real fireworks and "Hikari Fireworks" illuminations. Additionally, the ever-popular Midpark Cafe will be introducing the "Smirnoff Midpark Cafe" for the first time, where you can enjoy the world-famous vodka, Smirnoff. Cocktails like the tart lemon "Smirnoff Fresh Squeed Lemonade" (¥500, tax included) and the "Whole Orange Screwdriver" (¥900, tax included) will be available, along with food like the "Rotisserie BBQ Party Set" (¥2,900, tax included) for groups. Other attractions include "Ashimizu," where you can soak your feet in the stream that runs through Midtown Garden and enjoy the cool Japanese evening air; "Wind Chime Noren Street," where you can enjoy the sounds of wind chimes made from various materials and designs, including Edo-style wind chimes and ceramic wind chimes; and the "Roppongi Uchimizu Campaign," held only on July 23rd.
