ZINE SONIC 2016, bringing together zines from Japan and abroad, will be held from November 22nd to December 4th at the Nakameguro flagship store of lifestyle shop BRICK & MORTAR in Nakameguro, Tokyo.
ZINE SONIC is an event organized by SNOW SHOVELING, a bookstore and gallery in Komazawa, and BRICK & MORTAR. In 2014 and 2015, a variety of zines were exhibited under the theme "NEW YORK CITY."
This year, the focus will be on Tokyo, with a focus on various zines by Tokyo zine makers, as well as overseas zines purchased by SNOW SHOVELING and original sacoche bags for the event. Additionally, during the event, events will be held each weekend with different artists in store on a daily basis. Participants include Kikuchi Yumiko, Narushige Matsuki, Yamawaka Masaya, ROMANTIK PRESS, Team Mikansei, Mochii Anna, Sakai Eri, Maiki Kazuya, THE ME (Suzuki Shigeru and Suzuki Megu), Hiramatsu Momoko, Fukunaga Kouji, and Yamamoto Manara.

In addition, from 7:30 pm on December 3rd, artist OSHIDA AYA will be performing a one-night-only live acoustic performance. You can enjoy her bizarre electric acoustic performance using only a Flying V guitar, featuring a melancholic voice and rhythm tracks flowing from a boombox.
