"Zine Sonic 2015," an event bringing together zines from New York and Poland, will be held from November 17th to November 26th at BRICK & MORTAR Shinjuku store, and from November 28th to December 6th at BRICK & MORTAR Nakameguro main store.

The same event, held last year under the title "Zine Sonic 2014 at BRICK & MORTAR," was well received. This year, Komazawa's dating bookstore, Snow Shoveling, will be displaying zines purchased directly from zine meccas such as Printed Matter in New York and Reading Frenzy in Portland. The lineup also includes vintage books, one-of-a-kind antiques found at flea markets in Brooklyn, and original tote bags from bookstores and shops.

Also, on December 4th, the Nakameguro store will open a one-night bar called "BOOK TENDER" with the theme of "Zine and Gin," where you can read books while drinking and choose the drink you want to drink from a book, run by a book tender rather than a bartender. The bar will also host a book exchange event called "Book Exchange." Participants will bring one of their favorite or recommended books and exchange it with others. The event will run from 7:30pm to 9:30pm, and the participation fee is 1,000 yen, including one drink.
