Gucci releases 2016 gift-giving campaign film inspired by "Gucci Garden" and "Garden of Eden"

Nov 20, 2016

Gucci has released a film for its 2016 gift-giving campaign, directed by Floria Sigismondi. Creative Director Alessandro Michele has previously expressed the pure, essential beauty found in nature through the "Gucci Garden." The Holiday 2016 collection also featured colorful depictions of wild animals and plants. The film was inspired by Alessandro's "Gucci Garden" and the story of the Garden of Eden. Beautiful, vibrant plants and exotic animals, such as tigers, zebras, birds, bees, bunnies, and unicorns, celebrate the dreamlike atmosphere of the Gucci Garden, while lush trees, apples, and snakes symbolize the Garden of Eden where Adam and Eve lived.

Donizetti's opera "Il Dolce Suono" (His Sweet Voice) plays throughout the film, drawing the viewer into a romantic and mysterious world. The result is a rich, powerful and poetic film.
