Thailand's rapidly thriving fashion scene: 12 brands arrive in Tokyo for pop-up events

Jun 9, 2017

THAI SENSE.JP, a pop-up event featuring Thailand-based fashion brands, will be held at five locations, primarily select shops, in Tokyo from June 17th to 30th.

Thailand is currently experiencing a second dawn of its fashion industry, with a rapid increase in new brands, primarily those created by young designers in their late 20s and 30s. This momentum is no longer limited to Thailand, with many Thai brands expanding overseas, primarily to Europe and the United States.

The pop-up will bring 12 fashion brands, including Asv, CURATED, iCONiC, ISSUE, Lalalove, and Leisure Projects, which are thriving in Thailand but not yet well-known in Japan, to Tokyo. This will be an opportunity to experience the real, contemporary Thai fashion scene. The five participating stores are ROSE BUD Shibuya (ROSE BUD SALON and 1 other store), CLEOPATRA fig Tokyo in Shinjuku, Tokyo, CLEOPATRA fig OSAKA in Umeda, Osaka, and Apt.335 New York, NY in Jingumae, Tokyo.
