Uber Eats Japan has teamed up with fragment design, led by fashion designer Hiroshi Fujiwara, and KOMINE, known for its high-quality motorcycle wear, to create a limited-edition jacket exclusively for delivery partners. Announced in conjunction with Autumn Traffic Safety Week, this initiative aims to balance safety and style for delivery partners who traverse the city every day.

A special piece born from a triple collaboration
The jacket features a functional yet minimalist design by Fujiwara, with a reflective print of fragment's iconic thunderbolt on the right sleeve and a double Uber Eats and fragment logo on the left chest. In addition, it is equipped with a removable KOMINE protector on the chest, high-visibility reflectors on the sleeves and back, and is water-repellent and has a stowable hood for comfortable and safe wear even at night or in rainy weather.

The intersection of fashion and safety awareness
Uber Eats commissioned Fujiwara to create the jacket because it wanted to "raise safety awareness during deliveries through fashion." The jackets will be given away by lottery to 300 "Diamond" rank delivery partners. More than just a uniform, this iconic piece combines fashion and safety equipment, boosting the pride and motivation of delivery partners.

Society-wide Significance
KOMINE CEO Naoya Achiha commented, "In a current situation where the importance of chest protection is not fully understood, this jacket will play a role in raising safety awareness." Uber Eats Japan CEO Shintaro Nakagawa also stated, "We aim to express our gratitude to delivery partners and create a safe working environment." This collaboration proposes new value by combining fashion and functionality to the delivery workplace that supports urban life.
