Jun 9, 2017

The Parco Museum on the 7th floor of the Ikebukuro Parco Main Building will host the exhibition "Qusamura: The Writhing World of Plants" from June 10th to 26th. Located in Hiroshima City's Nishi Ward, Qusamura is a botanical shop based on the concept of "beautiful plants." Owner Kohei Oda travels around Japan to collect unique plants, pairing them with containers that bring out their individual characteristics. In this exhibition, owner Oda will revisit his childhood memories of imagining a secret room filled with plants and witnessing the squirming plants he encountered, displaying plants he has collected from Japan and abroad. Additionally, the museum shop will offer approximately 100 cacti and succulents from his collection for sale. During the exhibition, Oda will host gallery tours from 2 PM on June 10th and 24th, and from 4 PM on June 11th and 25th.
