The inspiration for the "beautiful people" AW14-15 collection was the Beatles' rooftop concert in 1969. The collection embodies the elegant style of the Beatles members at that legendary concert, held on the rooftop of Apple Corps on London's Savile Row, and the suited businessmen and office ladies who gathered to watch the concert during their lunch break. Designer Hidenori Kumakiri, both in the pre-fall and current seasons, seems to have been obsessed with the Beatles. This season, inspired by the Tommy Nutter jacket worn by Paul McCartney during a live performance, the brand focused particularly on jackets and outerwear. Tailoring is emphasized with a more elegant finish, with longer jackets, Chesterfield coats, and off-the-shoulder double-face jackets. The lapels are larger. The brand's iconic rider jackets are sharpened by eliminating the waist belt. The gorgeous Kargan fur coat was inspired by the anecdote that John Lennon and George Harrison once performed under their wives' fur coats in the cold.

High-neck and crew-neck sweaters, as mentioned in the lyrics of the classic song "GET BACK," as well as peacoats, mod coats, and white shirts with pinstripes and checks, are iconic '60s pieces, updated with a balanced look that makes you want to wear them right away. While the Beatles paired their outfits with bootcut pants at the time, this collection features cropped pants and rolled-up unwashed denim for the brand's signature modern, traditional style. The women's collection also features warm bottoms, such as ribbed knit pants and tights.

The colors are based on basic tones like beige, gray, navy, and green, and are enhanced with colorful side-gore boots and low-heeled strap shoes. Bags include square boa clutches and biker-style clutches.

The final song was "ACROSS THE UNIVERSE," which is also the title of the collection. Kumakiri explained that this song selection reflected their desire to create clothes that transcend tastes and ages. "We were able to broaden the scope of our clothing creations, from kids' sizes to elegant, dropped-shoulder pieces for adults (featured in this collection). While we had a theme, I think we were able to create a collection that surpassed it," said Kumakiri. A large, LED-lit Union Jack was placed on the runway, and a rock band formed by Kumakiri and his friends appeared, guitar in hand. The performance reflected Beautiful People's creative approach, as Kumakiri stated, "Good things cannot be created simply by the designer working hard alone."
