HaaT's India-made series, "HaaTH," has its roots in ASHA BY MDS, which was launched in 1984. This series, created in collaboration with a workshop based in Ahmedabad, India, offers clothing that combines richness and comfort through the production of clothing made using local natural materials and delicate traditional techniques. The craftsmanship of ASHA BY MDS was then passed on to HaaT, which was launched in 2000. Its journey continues today as HaaTH, combining India's outstanding craftsmanship with modern sensibilities.

This exhibition will feature excerpts of impressive photographs by photographer Seike Tomio from the 1988 visual book "ASHA BY MDS," which ISSEY MIYAKE acquired from Hajime Naruse, who served as art director at the time. New footage shot in the workshop will also be screened, documenting the skill and time involved in the artisans' handiwork, as well as the traces of thought that permeate their repeated movements. Some of the clothing featured in the book will also be reproduced and on display.
