Balenciaga has unveiled its Spring 26 collection, "BALENCIAGA BY DEMNA “EXACTITUDES” THE SPRING 26 COLLECTION," marking Demna's final ready-to-wear collection. To coincide with this, we have received the looks and collection notes from Demna, which we would like to share with you.

This collection embodies the diverse design codes that have been part of my creative vision and fashion research during my 10 years at Balenciaga. "Pairing pieces from 35 different collections with new pieces and garments from my personal wardrobe, the collection showcases the volumes, silhouettes and attitudes that have defined my vision. It also raises questions about the modern wardrobe, what people actually wear, how they wear it and where the fine line lies between luxury and fashion."

Working on this collection felt like a homecoming after so many years, a very fulfilling experience that embraced my love for fashion and dressmaking. My work at Balenciaga, and in general, has often revolved around the anthropology of fashion and dress codes, so I chose to create the imagery for this collection with Ari Versluis and Ellie Uyttenbroek, whose "Exactitudes" series has had a strong influence on my approach to fashion to date.

I wanted to capture and celebrate the end of an incredible era by creating Balenciaga "archetypes"—the people, silhouettes, vibes, and ideas that have been the foundation of my work at this incredible house.

As we move into our next chapter, this is a tribute to the creative research and work my team and I have been doing over the past decade. It is also my love letter to the most loyal and fashion-conscious audience that I have built and connected with around the Maison throughout this creative process.

Finally, Balenciaga by Demna will be on show for a few days leading up to the house's final couture show. This is a resume exhibition I curated, showcasing some of the most important elements that define my creative vision for the House, as it has been developed and refined over the past decade.
