Swiss luxury watch brand TAG Heuer has announced a new model of the TAG Heuer Carrera to commemorate the brand's 160th anniversary this year.

This new addition to this iconic chronograph adds a modern touch to the elegant design reminiscent of historic pieces. Since its launch in 1963, TAG Heuer has continued to evolve the design and construction of the Carrera. Now, these innovations have once again transcended time.
Details such as the applied indexes, which draw the eye to the time and follow the angle of the flange, are inspired by the various disciplines that inspired the TAG Heuer Carrera, including motor racing, where excellent legibility and timing are crucial.
The sleek stainless steel bezel completes the design. This is the same design as the original Heuer Carrera, released in 1963. It inherits the all-encompassing aesthetic of the Carrera's silver dial. This captivating 42mm timepiece also retains its chronograph functions with two pushers and subdials. The dial features azure-grained subdials at 3 and 9 o'clock, and a small seconds counter above the date window at 6 o'clock.
The screw-down sapphire caseback reveals the innovative and captivating in-house Heuer 02 movement. It incorporates a column wheel and vertical clutch, reflecting innovative chronograph timekeeping and the high quality of the movement. It has a total of 168 components and boasts a power reserve of approximately 80 hours.
Born on the racetrack, the TAG Heuer Carrera not only pays homage to the collection's acclaimed history, but is also a luxury timepiece that combines sophisticated design with cutting-edge watchmaking technology.
