Approximately 30 restaurants in Tokyo's Nakameguro neighborhood participated in the "Cherry Blossom Viewing CHANDON Meguro River" event, which kicked off this year. Guests enjoyed cherry blossom viewing while sipping Chandon Rosé, a cherry blossom-colored sparkling wine. A party celebrating the event was held at the bakery restaurant "TAVERN" on the 6th. Katie Jacobs, Chandon's brand director, also attended the event, saying, "Chandon's theme is 'connecting people,' and cherry blossom viewing is a time when people truly connect. Please relax and enjoy the cherry blossom viewing at CHANDON." The venue, inspired by Coney Island, the New York amusement park featured in Woody Allen's films, was decorated with pink flags and illuminations, matching the cherry blossoms. Staff members also wore floral dresses and pink jackets, creating a spring-like look. Fresh flower corsages were distributed to invited guests at the entrance. The event's main visual, displayed on the wall, featured a white cherry blossom pattern against a colorful pink stripe background. The image is pop and cute, evoking a nostalgic feeling. The venue was also filled with cheerful sounds and vocals as the "Baron and the World Touring Orchestra" performed live.
The catering menu featured dishes perfectly matched with Chandon Rosé. This light, bronze-tinged cherry-colored rosé boasts aromas of ripe black cherries and citrus fruits, with a fragrant flavor reminiscent of freshly baked pie crust. The PR representative recommends pairing it with red fish like lamb or tuna, prosciutto, and avocado. Its refreshing taste, perfectly complementing the pizza and oysters served at the party, makes it perfect for a casual, chic gathering.
As part of the "Cherry Blossom Viewing CHANDON Meguro River" event, Chandon Rosé will be available by the glass or bottle at approximately 30 restaurants, cafes, and bars in the Nakameguro area until late April. In addition, a limited-time "Cherry Blossom Viewing Chandon Bar" will open at "Marzac 7," a bar along the Meguro River overlooking the cherry blossoms, and will be open only on weekends from late March to early April, when the cherry blossoms are in full bloom. Chandon Rosé will also be available at supermarkets and other retailers in Nakameguro.
