Since its founding in 1906, Van Cleef & Arpels has looked to nature as an endless source of inspiration. Each year, the Maison celebrates the arrival of spring, which brings with it the renewal of life, and its symbolic flowers. Following on from last year's collaboration with French artist Alexandre Benjamin Navet, the Maison, together with the Otemachi-Marunouchi-Yurakucho Area Management Association (Ligare), a nonprofit organization active in the Otemachi, Marunouchi, and Yurakucho districts, will transform Marunouchi Nakadori Street, located in the heart of Tokyo, into an immersive space filled with vibrant flowers.

This year, the beloved creatures of nature, fauna and flora (animals and plants), will be the protagonists in an enchanting festival celebrating the arrival of a special season, set in Marunouchi Nakadori Street in Marunouchi, the historical and cultural heart of Tokyo.

Navet's imaginary garden is brought to life with new colors, featuring benches and swings for passersby to relax on, a flower-filled bridge over a pond, and birds resting in a fountain. Flowers also bloom in abundance in the small outdoor library, and new stories are woven from the conversations of the people who gather there.

In addition, a limited-time pop-up boutique will be open until May 6th, where you can find a variety of works inspired by the flora and fauna of nature, which are dear to the Maison.
Alexandre Benjamin Navet
Alexandre Benjamin Navet's work, at the intersection of art, illustration, design, and architecture, is characterized by refreshing, vibrant colors that surge into the space and directly engage the viewer. A 2011 graduate of the ENSCI (French National Institute of Industrial Design), he developed a foundation for his approach, transforming surfaces into dazzling combinations of color, objects, and perspective. As an artist with a wide range of expertise, he is adept at using a variety of media, including his signature oil pastels, pencils, and Japanese watercolors. In 2017, he won the Grand Prix at the Design Parade Toulon, supported by Van Cleef & Arpels. In 2018, he was recognized at the MAD (Musée des Arts Décoratifs, Paris) for his work "Espégrave;ces d'espaces," becoming the first artist to be awarded the "Carte Blanche" award, a new news gallery. In 2020, he collaborated with Van Cleef & Arpels to celebrate spring, and in 2023, he will install five monumental sculptures in the courtyards and gardens of the French National Assembly.
